About the project
“VEGI” app was developed during the COVID-19 pandemic, when people were spending a significant amount of time at home and exploring new hobbies. Many individuals around me began cultivating vegetables on their balconies or windowsills.
The problem
The challenge was that within the confined spaces of Israel's small rented apartments, it was difficult to cultivate more than 2-3 types of plants. In addition, each plant requires different conditions and environment, such as different amounts of sun, water or soil, which makes it difficult to grow a wide variety of plants.
The solution
“VEGI” allows home gardeners to exchange small amounts of crops with other gardeners, thus enjoying more types of fruits and vegetables, and meeting new people in the area.
